= Author Information = Additional Product Information Annalette Perold Annalette Perold, eldest daughter of Rev. P.E.S. and Ria Smith, grew up in a missionary parsonage and spent part of her childhood in the Transkei. She trained as a nurse in Paarl and Pretoria, later completing advanced qualifications in nursing education, management, and community health, culminating in a doctorate from RAU. Her career included work as a nurse and manager in mission hospitals and retirement homes, and from 1989 to 2007 she served as senior lecturer in Nursing Management and Community Health (Gerontology) at UNISA. After retirement, Annalette moved to Strand, where she began recording the memories of Sister Kockie – work that grew into Sister Kockie: A Full Life in Service.
